Who Are We?

To support and encourage each other in their mission of reaching people with the love of Jesus Christ.
- Baptist beginnings in Ontario, Canada, date back to around 1800 with the arrival of Baptists from the USA, who settled in the Niagara, Kingston, and Belleville areas.
- The Thurlow Baptist Association was formed in 1802, and by 1820 there were 20 Baptist congregations in Ontario and Quebec.
- The Ottawa Baptist Association (OBA), composed of six Baptist churches in the Ottawa Valley, was formally organized in 1836.
- In 1888, The Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec was formed, uniting associations and mission boards, and the OBA has since received its charitable status, allowing it to receive funds for mission efforts.
